Mirko Šarović

Mirko Šarović is the current Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of University of Sarajevo. He acted as the Serb Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and served as Chairman of the Presidency until April 2003. Before that he served as the Vice President and ,later on, President of the Republic of Srpska. Before 1990. he worked in economic systems “Famos” Sarajevo – “Engine factory Sarajevo” and “Unis” Sarajevo. His work experience in the administration began as Secretary of the Municipal Assembly of New Sarajevo. He was also the President of the Executive Board of the Municipality of East New Sarajevo and East Sarajevo Mayor. Mr. Šarović also served two terms as a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska. He has been a member of the Serbian Democratic Party since the year 1990. He is married and has two children.
